what exactly is the ELC method?
Since 1978, ELC has used cutting-edge English teaching methods to deliver high-quality English 
courses. The emphasis of ELC is on improving a student’s structural English skills and, over time, 
increasing his or her confidence in using English in social situations.
Songsangkaew (2003) studied the language function difficulties experienced by Thai students 
in real situations in America. The findings reveal that many students experience problems with cul

ture, different learning styles, and linguistics. Despite this, those students access the Test of English

as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) as an indicator of proficiency level. It is a significant problem to 
achieve academic learning.ELC prefers teaching techniques that are consistent with modern meth-
ods, in which lessons teach and reinforce English grammar rules by enacting real-life scenarios.
Since the ELC communicative method is based on a student-centered approach, the instructor must 
serve as a facilitator to assist students in acquiring English speaking skills for a variety of purposes.
ELC teaching techniques emphasize increasing speaking English in the classroom, as well as word 
pronunciation and using new vocabulary as much as possible. A variety of techniques, such as class 
discussions, presentations, small group discussions, pair work, group work, special projects, and 
task-oriented, are used in the ELC classroom to maximize dialogue.
