CLIL is another popular method. CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning)
To unlock the inherent potential of CLIL, a holistic methodology is needed that transcends the
traditional dualism between content and language teaching. The shift from knowledge transmission to
knowledge creation in multilingual settings requires students to be skilled in not only assimilating and
understanding new knowledge in their first language but also in using other languages to construct
meaning (Coyle et al. 2010: 153).
Recent conceptual reorientation in the study of language policy, expanding the view beyond
deliberate central planning toward language practices and beliefs (Shohamy, 2006; Spolsky, 2004),
provides an excellent foil for this undertaking. In most places, the implementation of CLIL has been
fuelled from two directions: high-level policymaking and grass-roots actions, with the latter dovetail-
ing parental and teacher choices. This method is appropriate for schools where the majority of import-
ant subjects are taught in English. This is common in modern classrooms. The emphasis is on content,
and lessons are tailored to the student’s needs and preferences.CLIL is effective in teaching students
how to use the English language in real-life situations to express themselves culturally.
Conclusion
As long as the authorities want further unification with modern world, they need more people
with good command of English. In order to raise skillful and interactive generation, modern methods
of language teaching must be introduced into educational system. Instead of deductively explaining
grammar rules, then asking students to do drill and exercises in the textbook, teachers can relate
language points, sentence structures, and grammar drilling to the meaningful use of language in the
students’ own lives. For example, an instructor teaching the past tense in context could tell what he
or she did last weekend, and then ask students to do the same. The focus should be on meaning rather
than on form. In this way, teachers can help students to realize that the ultimate purpose of learning
English is to be able to communicate in English, rather than to master all the rules and vocabulary for
their own sake.
Teachers of a civilized society are the torch bearers. For centuries, teachers have used a variety
of methods, approaches, and styles to meet the needs of their students.
Currently, the communicative technique is the most common such as ELC and CLIL . As the
name suggests, it is based on communication: an instructor with students, students in pairs or classes,
and the whole community together. The primary aim of training is to teach students how to commu-
nicate rather than to teach them any of the laws of grammar or how to read texts. The correspondence
between the teacher and the students is handled entirely by the teacher.
Make mistakes and learn from them; don’t be afraid to make them. For training, use any and all
resources available, including books/audio books, podcasts, and films. Practicing is one of the most
significant. Try to improve your listening and speaking skills, but don’t neglect grammar.
