The underlying mechanisms of healing impairment are unknown. We are using cell biology and in vivo experiments to study the mechanisms of impaired healing.

A proposal to include the familiesAgamidae and Chameleonidae within one family has been put, and the family Iguanidae has been split into numerous families. The latter proposal has been broadly accepted, but the data usedfor the former suggestion were limited, and this relationship, and the relationship of the Iguania with the Sphenodontida arebeing analysed.
