Weiler B, 1997, Developing Competent Ecotour Guides: Does Training Deliver What Tourists Demand?, (New), This project, funded by an NCVER project grant, looks at theinterface between training, guide performance and touristsatisfaction. It includes workplace assessment of ecotour guidesin relation to the competencies required by the job, andinvolves pilot testing a number of instruments which can potentially be used to recognise and certify qualified guides.
