2.1. To clarify the central problems of the lecture the teacher asks a series of questions:

  1. What do you understand by addition of lexical units in translation?

  2. What do you know about the cases of omission of lexical units in the translating process?

The teacher comments on the students’ answers.

2.2. Makes comments on the types of transformations

3.1. Summarizes the main points of the lecture. Gives questions about the basic types of lexical transformation.
