PREFACE

Self-Study Recommendations were created based on the Syllabus and Working Program to the subject Methodology of Teaching Languages and Educational Technologies to the 3d course of bachelor degree 5120100 – Philology and Teaching languages (English).

Students Self Study is the most important way to develop student’s professional skills required for passing teaching practice, dealing with course work and diploma successfully.
Lectures and seminars can introduce only general directions due to training language teacher’s professional competences. SSS activities suggested in the frame of the subject Teaching Languages methodology and educational technologies (TLM and ET) are very helpful tools for improving confidence of each student in the sphere of education and teaching languages.
After finishing this set of SSS works each student will be able

1. 
   to ground main directions of the language policy in the sphere of education in the Republic of Uzbekistan (RUz);
   
2. 
   to write academic reports on the matters connected with TLM and ET;
   
3. 
   to prepare and give subject presentation professionally;
   
4. 
   to compile valuable methodical catalogues for TFL;
   
5. 
   to make and use modern visual aids based on didactic provisions;
   
6. 
   to create concept maps how to TFL;
   
7. 
   to make lesson plans for TFL at different levels of the system of continuous education in the RUz;
   
8. 
   to observe the FL lessons with different purposes;
   
9. 
   to write methodical instructions to TFL;
   
10. 
    to analyze academic literature for TFL;

    to organize teaching portfolio.
    

Total hours for SSS on the subject TLM& ET are 54.
