Task 1. Study the types of speech.

There are two types of speech in communication. They are oral speech and written speech. People may share their opinions through speaking or writing. It depends on the situation. Using conversation as a type of communication is accepted as an oral speech. So, oral speech is a communication of people through speaking. If people use writing instead of speaking in order to express their opinions, this type of communication is called a written speech.

Task 2. Study the means of expressing ideas depending on the type of speech.

Two types of speech are differentiated in a language: oral speech and written speech. Both types of speech are used by people to share their opinions about different events. Each type of speech has its own way of being expressed. For instance, oral speech is expressed through pronunciation whereas written speech is given through writing. The oral speech reveals a speaker`s opinion and the written speech expresses a writer`s opinion.

Task 3. Study the difference between letters and sounds.

It is mentioned in the task two that oral speech is expressed through pronunciation whereas written speech is given through writing. In another word, the oral speech is a result of pronouncing the line of sounds and the written speech is a result of expressing the line of speech sounds through writing. So, a letter is an expression of a speech sound in writing.
