In 2016-2020, 1004 accidents occurred, of which 310 were fatal, 580 were 
severe, 114 were light and 68 were group cases. 
The analysis of the state of industrial injuries in the context of industries showed 
that the most traumatic are: agro-industrial complex, mining and metallurgical, 
mechanical engineering, production of consumer goods of trade and service, 
construction, manufacturing, energy, transport and railway workers, as well as 
transport builders.

The unsatisfactory state of working conditions, the long-term impact of harmful 
production factors on the body of workers, is the main reason for the formation of 
professional pathology. 
According to the Institute of Sanitation, Hygiene and Occupational Diseases, 
there were 2054 cases of occupational diseases in the Republic in 2019, which is
121 less than in 2018 (2332 cases in 2017 and 2,175 in 2018). 
According to nosology of occupational diseases: silicosis, silicotuberculosis, 
pneumoconiosis, chronic bronchitis, cochlear neuritis, intoxication with toxic 
chemicals, vibration disease, chronic laryngitis, exogenous alveolitis, etc. 
Material consequences from industrial accidents are more than 41 billion, of 
which the occupational morbidity is more than 13 billion UZS. 
The results of public control and proposals of trade unions on injury prevention 
are submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 
appropriate measures, illustrative examples in practice in implementing preventive 
measures and reducing accidents at work. 
The most important tools in the prevention of occupational injuries and 
minimization of occupational risks, such as certification of workplaces according to 
working conditions and equipment injury risk, creation of safe working conditions for 
women, implementation of labor protection measures in collective agreements, 
medical examination of employees, financing of labor protection, etc. under the 
scrutiny of trade unions. 
Trade union organizations protect the labor rights of employees, provide legal 
advice to the families of workers who were injured at work and lost a breadwinner, 
during the reporting period there were 1 thousand 116 people. 
Explanatory work, training seminars, and practical assistance are provided to 
prevent the detected violations on the ground. And also, written proposals are issued.
