This strategy contains the facts and recommendations presented in the Action 
Strategy for the five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 
2017-2021 and the obligations stipulated by the Paris Agreement (Paris, 12.12.2015), 
as well as the Strategy for the Transition of the Republic of Uzbekistan to «green» 
economy for the period 2019-2030. It also contains some thoughts and considerations 
that appeared during the exchange of views between the social partners.
This strategy was made with the support of the ILO Workers’ Bureau-
ACTRAV, as part of the Initiative to create «green» jobs, initiated by the 
International Labour Organization (ILO), the International Trade Union 
Confederation (ITUC) and the International Employers’ Organization (IOE). It was 
implemented by the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan. The development of 
this strategy was included in the Country Program for decent work of the Republic of 
Uzbekistan for 2021-2025. 
The authors are collectively responsible for their work and the content of the 
Strategy.
