8)What kind of problems do people have when travelling?
My uncle is a frequent trip maker and he tells about his troubles during trips all the time. So I think I can give his problems as an example here. Firstly, he cannot always communicate with natives of a country and feels lonely. Plus, sometimes he gets robbed and even the local police police cannot find thieves. But the major problem, as he says, is a torture of calculating exchange rates. I assume that almost all travellers have at least one of these headaches.
9)What is the most popular means of transportation in your hometown?
Underground is quite popular here in my hometown. Although taxis and buses are also valued greatly in Tashkent, affordable price of the subway, its temperature and most importantly a free wifi make it the most favourite for our people.
10)How do people travel to work?
Most people take public transport like buses and the tube. For working class, they come in handy to save money as the transportation fee is not so high.
11)Which mode of transport is more popular in your country, bicycle or car?
For the pre-matured, bikes have a special value. First of all, it is entertaining for them to ride a bike with friends or even alone. Most of them cycle for sports too. But for most of adults, of course cars are more popular for their conveniences in terms of controllable temperature, stereo and speed.
12)Do you agree that reading is the best way to know about a culture?
No, I don’t. Reading is undoubtedly helpful to get various information about cultures but they cannot compete with the vicarious experience gained from videos on YouTube. While watching videos, people don’t have to imagine places or see places just from one aspect angle. Instead, they can see different places and learn more from videos.
13)What means of transport do people use when travelling in your country?
When people travel, they mostly hire tourist-coaches that consist of two storeys. If it’s rainy or snowy, tourists enjoy sceneries from the lower storey but on sunny days, they enjoy taking selfies or photos of the environment from the upper storey, which is usually open from the sides.
14)Do you like to travel on your own or with your family?
I prefer a trip with companions. Whenever I travel alone I tend to drag into boredom because I cannot find anyone to speak to through the whole road, which is a big torture for me. But when I am with my family, I not only enjoy communication but also engage in games and have fun.
15)What are the advantages and disadvantages of traveling alone and traveling with friends?
When people travel alone, they take an advantage of absence of distracting people but may suffer from loneliness when they might need help. But while traveling with friends, an advantage can be sharing money if one is run out of money. Finally, detriment of friends during trips is wasting resources like time and money because you also need to stop at places where they want to buy things or need to go to toilet.
16)Do you like to visit popular places or less-known places?
It does not really matter for me actually. If attractions of a place where I am going to travel are appealing, I am ready to go to even the least known places of the world. I just know that even unknown places can give as much thrill as the Eiffel Tower does.
