Part three
Truth and lies
How do you know when others are telling lies?
There are multiple signs of a lie, I think. Mostly, when people make a lie, they start to speak with a shaky voice and lose confidence in it. It can also be noticed if we talk to them for a longer time because they avoid talking too much in order not to spill the beans.
Eyes can serve as a reflector of their words’ credibility. Mostly, such people avoid keeping a direct eye contact and move them around quite a lot. So if we keep on looking directly at the eyes, probably their eyes may give them away.
Do you think there are times when it is suitable to tell a small lie, a lie with good intentions?
Yes, there is one situation in which people had better make a small lie to obviate being in an awkward situation. For example, it is better to make a small lie when a child asks questions about how babies are born or why there are two genders rather than one. Most importantly, our white lie can prevent spoiling their innocent minds with intimacy.
Are there any situations when it isn’t polite to tell the truth?
I think the life is entirely made up of such situations. One of them is when our acquaintances ask us to comment on their appearance. Even if they indeed look inadequate, our negative comment can either sound too rude or seem too subjective.
Should we tell the truth at all times?
No, definitely. Sometimes we have to tell lies for our own or for the sake of other people. Honesty sometimes plays for a disadvantage. In situations when we deliberately or inadvertently remind sick people about diseases, or when we talk to children of criminals about their parents can insult them. So people should avoid the truths and make white lies.
Do you think people are telling more lies these days than in the past?
Liars have always existed. But today, their number prevails those existing in the past. Today we have more spheres teemed with deceptions. For example, people of marketing and online frauds of today have added up to the number of already existing charlatans.
How can parents encourage honesty in their children?
I think parents should always be exemplary for their kids and never lie. Because, demanding honesty and simultaneously making continuous lies would not teach children honesty in any way. Another practical way can be punishing children harshly if they make lies. Children should know that dishonesty can bring about unpleasant, or sometimes painful results).
Animals
1)What role can zoos play in education?
2)How does population growth influence wildlife?
3) Why do people like to keep pets?
I think it is because pets can offer many benefits for pet-owners. For the elderly or the disabled, for example, they can serve as very good companions and directors. For young children they can be good play-partners and entertain them because playing Fetch or feeding them barely ever make them bored.
4)Do you like to take care of animals?
Yes, I do. I not only like but also love looking after them. I have a pet-dog at home and tend to share my secrets with him. Because, I am sure that he never spills the beans and let me down. I also like to walk him and play games in the park.
5)Are zoos good places for wild animals?
I don’t think so. In my eyes, zoos are prisons designed for innocent animals. First of all, they restrict the movements of wild animals because their cages are oftentimes small. But the main thing is that people deprive wild animals of their families before putting them in caged chambers.
