Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43 BC) was a Roman orator and a philosopher. He decided to take speeches written in Greek by great orators and he translated them freely into Latin.
Gaius Valerius Catullus ( 84-54) was famous among the poets.he was the first lyric poet . greek influence also touched on his activity. He translated the poem of Klamath “ Hair of Bernie”. According to the found extract of that poem, Catullus showed himself as a brilliant translator, not using word for word translation.
