This is an activity recommended to apply, before beginning explaining a new 
theme, or supporting their ideas or concluding it. 
Conclusion 
In fact, some proverbs are difficult to understand as they lead to confusion 
due to their connotative meanings. In this article six activities are designed from easy 
to difficult types. Students are not required to discuss on a proverb, instead, they are 
encouraged to think through those activities. Although proverbs are applied in 
denotative meaning, the key words of the paremias related to their specialties. We 
claim that teachers’ active usage of proverbs and sayings in their speech help 
understand their function in real life. Furthermore, teaching process regularly through 
interactive activities will result in developing non-philological students’ 
paremiological competence.
