The first chapter of My Life and Work reveals its contents to be a uni-

manufacturing but also agriculture, mining, and service operations. 
Conformance to the natural laws of human and organizational behavior, 
which Ford calls the “Constitution of the Universe,” is a prerequisite for 
this kind of success. This synergy of Lean manufacturing with these natu-
ral laws allows a supply chain to deliver value to all its participants includ-
