advertisements, draw a grid on the board with the following

. Ask students to scan the two 

advertisements. Elicit the information from them to complete 

the grid. 

You may wish to check students’ understanding of the key 

vocabulary, e.g.:

analyst

 (someone whose job is to carefully examine a 

situation, event, etc. in order to provide other people with 

information about it)

updating

 (adding the most recent information to something 

e.g. a book, document, or list).

Get students to decide which is the most attractive job. Take 

whole-class feedback on which is the most popular post and 

why.
