dictionary as an alternative to “Чет тилида 
гапирмоқ” and has a synonym “speak”. 
Some 
phraseological 
units

translated figuratively are supplemented with a 
note (comment) in the dictionary. For example, 
“High jinks” is an old fanta game (whoever gets 
lucky when a bone is thrown, has to entertain the 
company with a game of laughter or drink a large 
glass of wine in one gulp without breathing, and 
whoever fails to do so pays a fantasy). 
Or “The ark rested on Mt. The 
phraseological unit is given in the dictionary as 
“discovered America”. His comment was “a 
response to the person who told the delayed 
news.” 
Conclusion 
At the present time, the integration of 
international relations in our country is one of the 
important tasks of learning English. The study of 
phraseological units, which are part of the 
English language, leads to a deeper mastery of 
this language. 
As you know, at the moment we need an 
“English-Uzbek dictionary”. The forthcoming 
“English-Uzbek phraseological dictionary” will 
help not only language learners, but also English 
language specialists and translators. 
Our need for a dictionary is the most 
pressing issue in our qualifying work, and we 
made it my main goal, and we started by 
studying phraseology myself when writing this. 
We studied its nature and species, the 
similarities and differences between them. We 
looked at the history of the study of 
phraseological units, and I talked about which 
scholars did what scientific work. 
In the main part of the article, We noted that 
phraseological units can be translated in the 
following ways: phraseological units can be 
translated in equivalent, alternative, figurative 
way. Focusing on these methods separately, We 
analyzed and studied the units.
