3	“Norin” Naryn is a pasta dish made with fresh hand-rolled noodles and horse meat
As Uzbeks lived on the large fields and near the mountains or rivers, they tended to eat foods of animals, field products. Another flour made dish is called norin or naryn in some sources. It is a home-made dish cooked with horsemeat “kazi”. Some years ago, norin is only prepared in well-earned families, but now every two of the houses is eating. Norin is served with noodles on a plate and its soup in a bowl. It is a traditional dish of great festivals, cooked not only for the guests, but also for all the neighbors. It is a special dish for Ramazan Hait (Eid-al Fitr) along with baursak, urama, chak-chak and many others. This Uzbek tradition symbolizes peace, friendship, prosperity and, most importantly, holds good-neighborly relations.
4	“Somsa” It is a triangular shape meal made with meat (lamb, chicken, beef) with vegetables (pumpkin, potatoes, onions), as well as with spinaches, mushrooms	Somsa is a queen of Uzbek cuisine. It is crunchy pastry baked in Uzbek tandyr or oven. The past of samsa goes bck to the reign of Gilgamish who was the ruler of Sumer (Egypt today). Samsas are sold on street corners, roadside shacks, fancy restaurants, or prepared for family gatherings, where they are commonly enjoyed with a nice cup of tea. The weight of samsas is up to 2 kilos in some areas. Uzbek families are accustomed to eat green samsas involving mixture of spinaches, meadows and clovers every spring when the plants are fresh. It is said that awakening plants are filled with important vitamins and minerals that the human body needs. Samsas have different views and tastes varying from region to region. All in all, there is no any party celebrated without samsas and Uzbek palov.
