ОБРАЗ ДЕТСКОЙ КОМНАТЫ В ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННОМ ДЕТСКОМ 
ПОРТРЕТЕ XVIII–XXI ВЕКОВ
Детская комната — распространенный мотив в отечественном живописном детском 
портрете. В нем зафиксированы различные этапы процесса формирования границ и тради-
ций организации данной среды. В XIX веке юные модели «осваивают» пространства гости-
ных, столовых и библиотек. К началу XX столетия выделяется образ отдельного помещения 
для детских занятий. В авангардном портрете детская комната исчезает, а в послевоенном 
искусстве, напротив, становится инструментом утверждения мифа о счастливом советском 
детстве. В портрете наших дней она перестала быть смысловой доминантой, несмотря 
на разнообразие дизайнерских предложений, предметов и игрушек, которые словно не со-
ответствуют образу ребенка XXI века. Решение этой проблемы может быть в обращении 
к историко-культурному и эстетическому контексту.

IMAGE OF CHILDREN’S ROOM IN DOMESTIC CHILDREN’S 
PORTRAIT OF THE 18TH – 21ST CENTURY 
The children’s room is a common motif in the Russian pictorial portrait of children, which 
often represents various stages of forming the boundaries and traditions of the interior design of the 
former. In the 19th century, young models “explored” the spaces of living rooms, dining rooms and 
libraries. By the beginning of the 20th century, the image of a separate room for children’s classes 
stood out as an independent type. In the avant-garde portrait, the children’s room disappeared 
but in the post-World War II art, on the contrary, it became an instrument for asserting the myth 
of a happy Soviet childhood. In the present day portraits, it has ceased to be a semantic dominant 
despite the variety of design themes, objects and toys that do not seem to correspond to the image 
of a child in the 21st century. The solution to this problem may be found in addressing the historical, 
cultural and aesthetic context of the article’s subject.
