perform various functions in an English class, namely:
1. A game is considered to be an unconscious type of learning, which gives students the
opportunity to practice their knowledge, to work out the studied lexical or grammatical topic,
to take part in collective games, and also to prove themselves as an individual. In this case, the
game and training are inseparable.
2. The game can be a way to rest or switch attention to another type of task, a new topic.

mood and strength to continue the lesson both to students and the teacher.

productivity of teaching English.
Do not forget that the games in English lessons can be used at absolutely any stage of the
lesson, with any topic, grammatical or lexical, for practicing phonetic rules, reading rules,
as well as for teaching listening, dialogical or monologue speech, etc.It is only important to
always remember the basic criteria for the selection and conduct of games:

the game must be relevant, to cause interest among students;

should correctly motivate students to learn in a playful way;

necessary, be able to reduce or conduct follow-up activities;

All resources and materials necessary for the game must be thought out and prepared
in advance;

it is necessary to conduct feedback after the game to fix its result.
Do not be afraid to adapt the games, and be sure to take into account the individual
characteristics of your students, their interests and preferences - this will help you choose
between a moving game, a quiz and boardgame as well as a business game, or between a
competition and an individual quiz. For more active students, games that require thinking
quickly might suit better, while for other groups, word puzzles and riddles etc. would be a
better choice.
