STEPS FOR INDEPENDENT LEARNING SKILLS. Tursunov Mirolim Ahmadovich, Karshi Engineering and Economics Institute, (Assistant of the Department of Information Technology), Phone: +998973135325, m.a.tursunov23@gmail.com This article provides feedback on the role of teachers and students in the process of developing independent learning skills of students studying in technical universities, the stages of formation of independent learning skills. Keywords and concepts: independent study, web quest, e-library and e-portal, praxiological, on-line, chat, forum, off-line e-mail . Introduction. The world's scientific, economic, and technological
developments and information technology are unimaginable. The widespread use of
information technology in all fields requires future professionals to master this field
and constantly improve their knowledge and skills. To achieve these results, it is
important to develop students' ability to work independently using e-learning
resources [1].
The teacher interacts with the teacher and the students as they work
independently on the topics presented in the electronic information and learning
environment. In the interaction under consideration, the role of the teacher will be
directed to the coach, who will become a kind of “navigator” in the field of electronic
information and education[2], the teacher acts as a mentor whose purpose is to teach
students “how to learn”. Supervise the student with introductions and general
lectures, the order of independent work, the provision of resources on the topic of
independent work, these links are established through the use of e-learning
resources. Since the educational activity of the future specialist is aimed at solving
the problem of "self", that is, “how to teach oneself” [3], the teacher must create
conditions for independent learning.
In this interaction, the main functions of the teacher are focused on the
formation of students' independent learning motives; participate in setting goals and
objectives at the initial stage of independent learning, organizational activities,
search and selection of e-learning resources; development of methodology and
teaching aids for the use of electronic resources in order to develop the independent
learning skills of future engineers; managing the process and outcome of students'
independent learning activities; determination of reporting forms, scope of work,
deadlines; identify types of advice and evaluation criteria. The teacher-student
interaction in the e-learning environment takes place online (chat, forum) and off-
line (e-mail).
The concept of “independent learning” is seen as an activity in which students
acquire knowledge and skills, without the direct involvement of the teacher, but
managed by him or her [4]; which is carried out in a specific system with the
