What preparations should people make before going on holiday? 
Before people leave for a vacation, they should make sure that their house is locked up and 
ready to go. If they have a pet, they should make sure someone is coming to care for it or, if 
they have plants, that someone will come to water the plants. They should make sure that 
they have money with them in different forms. It might be better cash in some places or credit 
cards in others. And they would need to make sure that had any important documents ready, 
like a passport and a visa.
 
Nowadays, more and more people choose to travel to remote places. Is it good or bad 
for those remote places? 
 
I think whether or not it's good or bad for people to travel to those remote places would be 
quite a controversial issue for the people who live in those places. On the one hand, it can be 
very beneficial for the economy. Tourism can bring in a lot of money which can create a lot of 
jobs and can help the government to create some better infrastructure. And so there may be 
better services for the people who live there and improved hospital for example because 
they've got more visitors that they need to care for and be ready to help. However, a lot of 
tourism can negatively impact an original culture of a place, it can really change the feel of the 
place, and how the people have lived their lives for quite a long time can change because of 
tourism. 
How do people find out about a new place? 
 
People find out about a new place either from internet searches or from word of mouth or 
some advertising. So they may see a commercial about a new fancy hotel and an island they 
didn't know existed. Or they may do a search for rural43:00 locations they've never been to 
and find something fantastic
