Interviewer: Gulzora Rakhmatova (further will be as GR)
Interviewee: Mukhiddin Kurbanov (further will be as MK)
GR: Good morning! If you have some free time, let me ask a number of questions about English in your workplace.
MK: Good morning! Of course, you can.
GR: Have you ever communicated with some foreigners in your workplace?
MK: Oh! In my workplace, of course not. But during my studies, I had classmates from America, Italia and other countries.
GR: Can you talk effectively?
MK: At the beginning of the conversation, we talked about teaching methods and other countries. But then about methods of treating barriers and diseases.
GR: Ok! What do you think medics have to learn English in their future careers?
MK: I think, the doctors who are thinking about career should know English at least at an intermediate level.
GR: What kind of barriers do the doctors have come across while they speak in English?
MK: Probably, only grammar I think. Because, we don’t really have enough time to learn the grammar of the English language..
GR: Can you share some situations where you use English most?
MK: In most cases, I use English when I communicate with colleagues from different countriesto exchange our experiences.
GR: what kind of tasks do you have to perform in English?
MK: Basicly, I have to able to explain to the patient and his condition and make the correct diagnosis. Of course, if I work anywhere in Europe or in some Arab countries, but right now I am working in Uzbekistan and I don’t need English science. I work in the Uzbek people, Tadjiks and sometimes Russians.
GR: With whom do you speak English mostly at work?
MK: At work of course I don’t communicate in English we do anyone. Only in difficult situations, I consult with my foreign colleagues from other countries.
