Political conflict is an integral element of power-management relations. Using

conflict manage conflict
interaction, develop ways to prevent and resolve conflicts in the political sphere. This
article analyzes political conflicts and their features, as well as examines the
interpretations of the conflict in modern theories of international relations.

Political
conflicts, as a special way of resolving contradictions between two or
more subjects of political-power interaction, have
existed throughout human
development. As noted by the famous military theorist and historian of the 19th
century, Karl von Clausewitz, the history of the world is the history of wars.
Indeed, about 250 states, 7 billion people, speaking 4000 languages and at
different stages of their development, arose as a result of constant confrontations[1].
The most acute struggle takes place between individuals
and social groups in the
sphere of politics. Politics is nothing more than a means of provoking this struggle for

influence in the system of political relations, as well as the disposal of resources and
the adoption of generally significant decisions. Often such confrontation takes place
precisely in the form of political conflicts.
In the modern world, the intensification of integration and modernization
processes, the acceleration of the pace of social
development exacerbate old
contradictions and generate new diverse conflicts. Therefore, even today, the special
attention of researchers and politicians is attracted by political conflicts that have
such a noticeable impact on the political system. It should be noted that a political
conflict is not always equivalent to a military conflict, an armed struggle, although in
emergency situations it can end with it. Moreover,
in the settlement of conflicts,
most countries of the world give preference to political, diplomatic,
economic and
other non-military methods. It follows that a political conflict is a clash, a
confrontation of political subjects, caused by the opposite of their political interests,
values and views [2].
To understand the features of modern political conflicts, it is necessary to
consider modern theories of international relations
and their interpretation of
conflicts:
