USE OF WEB QUESTS FOR CHEMISTRY EDUCATION

Annotation. This article discusses the use of web-quest technology in
chemistry classes. The stages of work on a web quest in the process of studying organic
chemistry are described.

Currently, more and more space in school education is occupied by information
technology. The presence of computer classes, interactive whiteboards, computer
microlaboratory, a wide variety of multimedia tools can open up new paths in the
development of thinking, providing new opportunities for active learning.
One of the ways to stimulate interest in the natural sciences is through
innovations in the organization of the educational process of schoolchildren using
various modern teaching technologies. Non-standard approaches to the organization of
science classes, taking into account the interests of students of different ages, based on
independent research activities, stimulate the formation of a cognitive interest in the
subject of chemistry.
The most effective, in terms of updating cognitive activity, are interactive
learning technologies, one of which is a web quest - technology.
Web quest technology can be successfully applied in the process of studying
chemistry, and such lessons are interesting and understandable to students, they can be
conducted, for example, as part of a subject week. However, the development of this
kind of lessons requires a lot of preparation precisely from the teacher, since his tasks
include not only creating a web quest, owning well computer technologies, but also
selecting useful information on the Internet. O f course, using web quests is an easy
way to incorporate the Internet into the learning process. Work in small groups
