:
 В этой статье рассказывается о репрезентации эмоции «стыда» 
в узбекской культуре, каковы ее средства, какими словами это выражается, и это 
подкреплено примерами из книги Чулпона «Ночь и день». 
Annotation:
In this article it is written about the representation of the emotion of 
―shame‖ in Uzbek culture, what are the means of it, what kind of words represent it and it 
is supported with examples from the book ―Night and Day‖ by Chulpon.

The representation of emotions plays a great role in the communication among 
different linguacultures. Because emotions can help to convey the core meaning of our 
thoughts excessively. When anybody communicate with other human being, it is important 
to show how they are feeling about it. While doing this they can use emotional expression 
through body language; including gestures and postures which are connected to the exact 
emotion they are going under. In this article I am going to reveal the peculiarities of 
representing shame in Uzbek culture.
What is a shame itself? According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary 'shame'- is a 
painful emotion caused by consciousness of guilt shortcoming or in property. Also 
according to Oxford dictionary 'shame'- is a painful feeling of humiliation and distress 
caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior. According to Cambridge 
Dictionary, it is disappointing or not satisfactory.
―However, it is obvious that shame always comes with guilt. So we should 
differentiate them because they are too similar but significantly different self-conscious 
emotions. Shame is about the self, while guilt is about things in the real world-acts or
