Working days
 
All employees shall be expected to work 5 days a week, which means they shall 
be eligible to take 2 days as weekly off in a week. Weekly offs shall be assigned 
by the respective reporting manager, and the weekly offs need not be on 
Saturdays and Sundays. 
Every employee shall be expected to work 8:30 hours on each working day. 
Frequently asked question: 
1.
What happens if the duration of my punch-in time is less than 8:30 hours 
A: 
If your office in time is less than 8:30 hours and greater than or equivalent to 
4:15 Hours, then that day shall calculated as half a day presence for you. However, if 
your attendance is less than 4:15 Hours, then the entire day shall be marked as 
“absent,” and you shall not be eligible for payment of compensation for that day.
2.
What happens if an employee works for half a day on Friday and takes leave 
on Monday, Will intervening Weekly off policy apply? 
A: If an employee takes leave on Friday for half day and do not resume to work on 
Monday, then the intervening policy will not apply. In this case employee will be 
marked as WO on Saturday and Sunday. 
3.
What happens if there is a PH on Friday and employee takes leave on 
Monday? 
A: Intervening policy will not apply if employee resumes to work after Holiday.

SUMMARY OF LEAVE RULES FOR THE CALENDER YEAR 2022 
 
The following are the Leave Rules for Employees of Focus Edumatics 
Employees, India. 

Earned Leave (EL) (12 days p.a.) 
 

Eligibility: 
Only after completion of one year of service, but will accrue from 
the date of joining 

 12 days
(1.0 day of Earned Leave (EL) shall be credited every month 
provided the employee has actually worked for at least 15 days in that 
month.) 

Minimum of a day at a time with prior approval from the Reporting Manager.
