The connection between word formation and vocabulary lies in the fact that each newly arisen word becomes a unit of the vocabulary of the language. The second group of word formation methods, along with word composition, conversion, abbreviations, also includes affixation and, in particular, one of its subtypes, prefixation, which in linguistic literature is considered as a way of word formation, which includes the addition of prefixes to roots and stems.
