Replaced the Cooperative Credit Association Act of 1952 1953 and set rules for federally chartered
credit unions
Followed the same format as the Bank Act
Insurance Companies Act (1992)
Replaced the Canadian and British Insurance Companies Act and the Foreign Insurance Companies Act,
both passed in 1932
Set rules for life insurance companies and property and casualty (P&C) insurance companies
Allowed insurance companies to own Schedule II chartered banks
Followed the same format as the Bank Act
