«THE KEY STRATEGIES OF TEACHING PHONETICS 
AND IMPROVING PRONUNCIATION» 
ANNOTATION
This article is devoted us about the importance of learning phonetics when language 
learners are speaking or contacting communication with foreign language. This article 
includes some key strategies for teaching phonetics among teachers such as choosing 
materials, handouts which is related phonetic sounds , making activities that is useful
to learn fast.Through the article all the statements are supported with examples and 
facts for easier comprehension. In addition, some explanations and new strategies are 
given to schoolmasters when they are teaching foreign language.

Introduction
It is clear that nowadays demand of learning foreign language is growing more 
and more. But there are some kind of dilemmas for non-native speakers . One of them 
is problem of pronunciation because of difference between two languages.
Teaching phonetics is main aspect of helping to be fluent speaker in learning 
foreign language when teachers inform students about new language and other 
countries' life.
So improving pronunciation is a key of expressing ideas and avoiding some 
misunderstandings such as uncorrect discourse analysis when we contact with the 
people who are from another country. Learning phonetics plays important role in 
essential language skills such as listening and speaking. Besides it is believed that 
level of pronuncing is crucial factor to speak correctly after learning vocabulary as 
one of sources of communication
Some of the researchers claimed that some teachers have a few various
approaches to teach phonetics while they are teaching any language to pupils. As a 
result of this we can come across some students who have problems in speaking

fluently they have not the ability which is cannot declare their ideas for comprehensive 
communication.
Commonly, during the lesson some educators who want to help that scholars' 
speach will be correct show some kind of videos such as movie, interview, cartoon , 
and other On the one hand this method may be effected but it is not expected. 
Because it is interesting for only some students but others don't pay attention. On the 
other hand, it is more conducive to listening due to lack of speaking compulsion
So teachers should find out some new strategies of amending way of saying 
words smoothly in another language
First of all, teachers should train learners how to pronounce phonetic sounds 
such as monophthongs (single vowel sound ) diphtongs( two vowel sound joined in 
one syllable) , vowel and consonant sounds with easy and clear examples. When it is 
chosen it will be suitable if students' old and interest are taken into consideration. 
This examples help them to remember easily. One way of making it easier is to add 
stress words and exaggerate sounds and break words into syllables. In pronunciation 
practice necessary things to speak fluently like native speakers such as differences 
between American and British dialects , some difficult sounds ( combination " th" 
"ph", "ng") for non- native speakers are explained and enlightened by tutors. Informing 
about scientific information like that is mentioned is teachers' obligation but how to 
educate is considered their professional quality.
Therefore teaching strategies play important role in school's life . The lesson
must be both interesting and growing . Instructors should encourage students to study 
hard and they can attract pupils' attention. Here are some strategies which helps 
modern teachers as best ways
