Abstract: 
The equivalency of translation depends on the equivalency effect of 
the recipients of the original text and its translation. In order to achieve 
the equivalency in translation it is necessary to use transformational methods. They are 
a kind of a system, in other words, they do not exist autonomously, isolated from each 
other, but they are more often interconnected. That is why it is necessary to use them 
in different combinations.

Introduction. 
It is well known that the main purpose of any translation is to 
transmit the semantic information of a text. Its other types and characteristics, such as 
functional, stylistic (emotional), stylistic, socio-local - cannot be transmitted without 
reproducing the semantic information, because all the other content of the message 
components is superimposed on the semantic information. In order to achieve 
translation equivalence in two languages, a translator needs to make inter-lingual 
conversions - translational transformations - so that the text to be translated conveys 
the information of the source text as fully as possible.
 
The term transformation means a change from one linguistic form in the source 
text to another linguistic form in the target text, moreover a linguistic form means a 
part of speech, a combination of words or a grammatical structure. Transformations, 
according to A. I. Klishin, can be divided into grammatical and lexical ones. 
Grammatical transformations are also, in their turn, divided into particle and syntactic 
ones [1, p. 30]. L. S. Barkhudarov in his work "Language and Translation" proposes to 
reduce these transformations to 4 simple types: 1. Transpositions. 2. Replacements. 3. 
Additions. 4. Omissions [2]. The issues of translation techniques are devoted, among

others, the works of V.N. Komissarov [3], T.A. Kazakova [4], L.F. Dmitrieva [5] and 
others.
