Kamolliddin Begzod

In the manuscript of Amir Khusrav Dehlavi's epic "Layli and Majnun" copied by Sultan Muhammad Hiravi (St. Petersburg), B. is referred to as "The Debate in the Madrasa", "Layli and Majnun at School", "Layli and Majnun in the Desert", "With Majnun Layli's Dog" and " In the presence of the madman's ambassador Layla, there are miniatures entitled "; B. 2 illustrated a manuscript of Saadi's Gulistan (1486, at the Fogg Museum of Art at Harvard, from the former Rothschild complex) copied by the calligrapher Sultanali Mashhadi; 4 of the 13 paintings in the manuscript of Amir Khusraw Dehlavi's Hamsa (1495, Chester Beatty Library in Dublin) have features characteristic of B.'s works; Double painting "Sultan Hussein in the Garden" (1485-90, Gulistan Museum in Tehran, murakqa); "Old Man and Young Man" painting (at the Kevorkyan Complex in New York); "Camel Fight" (at the Gulistan Museum in Tehran); Portrait of Sultan Hussein (at the F. Martin Complex in Sweden); Portrait of Muhammad Shaibanikhan (at the Timken Burnet Complex); Portrait of Abdurahman Jami (in the Riza Library in Iran); "Sultan Hussein and Alisher Navoi" double painting (in St. Petersburg). In addition, B.'s works are available in libraries, manuscript collections, museums and private collections. As an artist, Us Tod brought up a number of students in Herat and Tabriz. His disciples spread the B. tradition throughout the Middle East. B.'s traditions had a positive effect on the work of later artists (see Behzod Miniature School).

According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (December 23, 1997), the 545th anniversary of B.'s birth was widely celebrated in Tashkent, Samarkand and abroad under the auspices of UNESCO (November 2000). The construction of a memorial park named after B. On November 23, 2000, the State Museum of the History of the Temurids in Tashkent hosted an international scientific conference dedicated to B. with the participation of art scholars from Great Britain, Turkey, India, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. On the occasion of the anniversary, a number of events dedicated to the life and work of B. were held. In particular, the documentary "Kamoliddin Behzod" was made (2 parts, 2000).
