4. Conclusion
This study has shown that Slovenian EMS providers lack adequate facilities for the transport of
infectious patients. The main problem is that information about the patient diagnosis is not given.
Education, which should include both theory and practice, is also lacking. It makes sense to organize
continuing education based on general protocols that should cover all the phases of the transport and
handling of the patient, through to the patient hand over at the destination, and including the
procedures for cleaning the vehicle after the transport is completed.

V tem mesecu je bilo poleg omenjenih 173 spremljevalnih postavljenih še 195 glavnih diagnoz
omenjenih bolezni, to je skupaj 19,4% obravnavanih bolnikov z eno izmed teh diagnoz. Torej so v
povprečju skoraj v 20% razlog obiska bolnikov v urgentni internistični ambulanti različne infekcije.
