MOTIVATION OF DEVELOPMENT OF DIAGNOSTIC ACTIVITY BY MODERN TEACHERS

Abstract 
The relevance of the studied problem is due to the need for the development of professional psychological and pedagogical 
competence of teachers, where a special place is given to questions of specialist readiness for the implementation of its diagnostic 
component. The goal of the study is to assess the level and characteristics of the motivation of the diagnostic activity of teachers 
with various work experience. The author used the following research method: a survey of teachers of various subject areas. Its 
results are correlated with the data obtained during the process of interactive work with teachers in the pedagogical council mode, 
at seminars and with focus groups. The survey involved 198 teachers with different amount of pedagogical activity. The article 
presents an assessment of motivational dominants in the diagnostic work of young specialists and educators with a professional 
experience of more than ten years. The author revealed the priority of the set of internal motives of activity; as well as the groups 
of factors that can become an obstacle or an incentive to intensify the diagnostic approach in the work of teachers. Besides the 
author have conducted a statistical analysis of the results. Identified trends can underlie the systemic work of the administration 
and the teacher-psychologist in an educational institution with different age groups of teachers. The obtained results can be 
applied in the work of specialists involved in the organization of continuing professional education of teachers, and can be used 
in determining guidelines in the implementation of innovative projects in the field of education.
