How it all started

• The history of the village is surrounded by legends mixed with real events. It all started in 1950, when Eleanor Roosevelt, the wife of the American president, visited the local area. To please the high-ranking guest and at the same time show the beauty of the northern nature, they organized a wonderful trip ... In the deep forest a cozy wooden house was built, a living spruce was decorated, lights were hung and Santa Claus settled down. I liked the idea. Over time, an entire village was built here, an entertainment program was devised, and tourists from all over the world brought their children to visit Santa Claus. Now it has a new residence, but the first temporary home is still there.
• Wonderful Lapland, from the first minutes the property of Santa Claus amazes the imagination with its beautiful beauty. The tall snow-covered spruce, the deep snow, the silence and, if you’re lucky, the northern lights - the first-minute scenery evokes an unrealistic feeling. Even older tourists voluntarily immerse themselves in fairy tales and begin to believe in miracles again.
