listics
. This article will examine three opuses for piano duo by composers of the Republic of Moldova 
– fantasy 
Brâul lui M. Amihalachioaie
by V. Burlea, 
Concertino
by E. Mamot and 
Hora
by O. Negruţa 
– the style of which reflects the reliance on Moldovan musical folklore. These works are similar in 
that authentic folk melodies (or similar in style) which are the main musical themes in them. Fantasiy 
Brâul lui M. Amihalachioaie
by V. Burlea for two pianos 
– an arrangement of a theme borrowed from 
the music of accordionist and conductor M. Amihalachioae. The specificity of the work is determined 
by the genre solution: on the compositional level, the features of a monumentalized miniature and 
fantasy are combined, on the syntactic level, the genre of Moldovan folk dance dominates. E. Mamot’s 
Concertino 
is based on two themes of folk genesis: sîrba and hora. On this contrasting thematic mate-
rial, rhythmic, harmonic and textural profiles of the form are constructed, which contributes to the 
overall dynamization of the process. 
Hora
by O. Negruţa, like the previous opuses, arose on the basis 
of folklore material. The name itself shows that the creation of this type of work was influenced by the 
type of dance, which is one of the most common in the Republic of Moldova.
