I want to let you know about a very disappointing purchase I made at your
store last week. I bought a very nice-looking jacket, but when I got home, I
found out that it was damaged. When I tried to return it to the store, I was
shocked to learn that returns aren't allowed. I hope you can help me solve
this problem.
The jacket looked nice in the store, but when I got it home, I found that it had
several problems. When I put it on, I discovered a hole under the left arm. The
lining was torn, too. Also,
two
buttons were missing from the cuffs.
When I took the jacket back to the store, the associate told me that you
don't accept merchandise returns. She said that I might have caused the
damage after I bought the jacket.
This situation is unacceptable. I did not damage the jacket. I think that the
store should give me a complete refund. If this is not possible, I will accept
store credit to use for buying a different jacket.
I hope
we
can quickly agree on a solution
to
this problem.
Sincerely,
Matthew Davis

Dear Julia,
I am getting ready to make a trip to your city next month. This will be a
business trip, but I will also have some free time. I hope you can give me some
advice about the best places to visit, and I also hope we can get together
while I'm there.
My company is sending me to your city to lead a training session. A company
there recently bought some of our software, and I will train the staff on how
to use it. I will be busy with the training Monday through Thursday. Then, I will
have time on Friday and Saturday to enjoy the city.
Could you suggest some places for me to visit during my two free days'? You
know I like art and would enjoy visiting art museums and galleries. I am also
interested in learning about the history of your city and would like to visit any
important historical sites.
Additionally, I hope you will be able to join me for dinner on Friday evening.
Please suggest a restaurant where we can meet.
Thank you for your advice. I'm looking forward to seeing you.
Your friend,
Lucas
3 Dear Mr. Jones,
I am writing to tell you about the parking problem at our building. I frequently
have trouble finding a place to park. Something has to be done about this.
Often when I get home from work, the parking lot is full. There are supposed to
be enough spaces in the lot for each tenant to park one car. If the lot is full,
that means other people are using our spaces or
some
tenants have more
than one car.
When I can't find space in the parking lot, I have to park on the street. I don't
like to do this because I work late and I don't like walking on the street alone
at night.
I would like to offer some suggestions for solving this problem. First, you could
post
some
signs in the lot explaining that it is for building
tenants
only. In
addition, you could assign each apartment a space and paint the apartment
number on it. That way, each tenant will always have his or her own place
to park.
Please let me know what you think of my ideas.
Sincerely,
Irene du Breuil
