Dear Yolanda, 
I want to tell you about the wonderful time at my summer rental house. It's 
a really nice little cottage. There are a lot of fun things to do here, and I know 
you would enjoy visiting. 
The cottage where I am staying is small but 
quite comfortable. It 
has one 
large room downstairs and 
two 
small bedrooms upstairs. The best part is 
the porch, where I can sit and enjoy a view of the lake. There are pine trees all 
around. They provide shade, so the house is always cool and comfortable. 
Since I am staying right by the lake, I spend a lot of time in the water. I swim 
every morning before breakfast. After breakfast, I usually explore the lake in 
my canoe. In the afternoon, I like to lie on the beach and enjoy the sun. 
I hope you can come spend a week here and enjoy this beautiful place with me. 
It is so relaxing. 
Let me know when you can come. Any time next month would be nne 
with me.

5 Dear Sir or Madam, 
I am writing to tell you about a lost item. I left a bag in one of your taxis 
yesterday. It was a very special bag, and I hope you can help me -And it. 
When I got home yesterday, I realized my bag was missing. I was returning 
from a trip to visit my grandmother and rode in one of your taxis from the 
train station to my home on Maple Avenue. I know I had the bag on the seat 
beside me during the ride, so I must have left it in the taxi. 
The bag is very special 
to me. 
It's a beautiful leather bag that belonged to 
my grandmother, and she gave it to me during my visit. It is brown and has 
my grandmother's initials-AJR-· on the side. It has a gold buckle and a long 
shoulder strap. 
I hope you can help me -And the bag. I don't know the number of the taxi, but I 
think the driver's name was Burt. If you have a lost and found department, my 
bag might be there.
