Phenomenon of belief – the basis of creativeness of the culture
Summary
Belief, as a symbol of faith, always was and will be the one of the relevant topics of the culture of philosophy, since exactly this phenomenon is an inducement and basis of both creation, and social activity of a person. Social activity, in its turn, is based on the individual freedom, freedom which first of all implies responsibility and duties in relation to human’s system unity – the society.
Belief is based and formed on the deontological basis of faith, thinking, moral, creation. Belief balances normative and purpositive parts of ideal. The first normative part is the part and those true values, regarding to which mankind reached an understanding a long time ago. As to vectors and basis of transformation of motion and development of belief, they are determined by its (belief) aims.
Belief is the faith of the person and self-confidence in his intellectual or creative abilities (thus, it has subjective character!), but social conditionality gives it objective character.
When the idea is connected with existing solid cognitive-estimative criteria and with samples of both personal, and social groups’ mentality, – it transforms into motivator of cognitive and practical activity and only in this case it transforms into belief.
The states should embody ideals. Ideal is sensible management of the future, according to which human plans and organizes its activity. Surely, belief is inducement of behavior and basis of future, realized social activity of the subject; along with it, it is caused by objective need of achievement of ideal.
While speaking about belief, in my opinion, the most important is still social-psychological essence of belief, its emotional, willed relation with various aspects of reality. Thus, belief is monolithic unity of ideas, senses and will (which overmaster person’s spiritual world).
Value is a determinative force of culture. Belief allows human to create values. Essence of values is determined at the boundary of human’s cognitive and estimative activities. Only freethinking humans create values. As it was mentioned before, phenomenon of freedom, which is the basis and criterion of culture, is strengthened by responsibility. Human should have a superior responsibility for himself. Human is always responsible for acts committed by him.
Creativeness of culture, or the harmony, achieved by establishment of order is human’s prerogative. But first of all he must put in order his own soul. Without belief human is not able to create something divine, the individual, which doesn’t understand his own spirituality, is unable to establish an order in himself, or transcendental order.
Human should have firm belief, which will be transformed into the phenomenon of objective social mentality. Belief is powerful force.
