Role of the state in the modern international relations
Summary
On the bases of integration processes, while forming “Whole” idea, very actual became the idea of the representatives of the liberal school, who state that the state is not a main actor of the international relations. But the processes which have been developed the last years and along with the economical crisis showed that the role of the state plays the locomotive role on the stage of international relations.
State is the subject of an international law. Their foreign policy defines the disposition of the epoch of international relations. It influences the level of freedom and the prosperity of an individual, and on the life of the humane being itself.
The being of an international organza tons and their actions are dependent on the states actions. Besides it represents universal form of the human’s integrity.
The state has a functional meaning, as in the internal affairs also on the aspects of foreign relations. Its main function includes order and security. It should create the basis for social and economical development, divide the labor forces and service and should satisfy the main requirements of the citizens.
The Modern form of the state is linked with the idea of sovereignty. Such kind of state has two types of aspects: internal and foreign. National sovereignty principals are taking us to international relations.
According to the traditional representations, state on the stage of international relations is represented through the foreign policy, its diplomacy and by its strategy. Their role includes the satisfaction of the interests, safety, and territorial inequality. But in the modern reality by the foreign political aspects are determined ecological problems, scientific and technical progress, world economy, mass media, cultural relations and etc.
The state, as the role of the international actor is defined differently by the different representative of theoretical schools. Realistic schools are thinking, that main player in international relations are liberal and Marxism or neo-Marxism schools, they are including other aspects of the international relations. But the reality showed, that “copy off” the states is very early yet.
The strategy of the state has been significantly changed after the ending of the “Cold War”. Bipolar cognition has been changed with “Multipolar” world. It had a great influence on the foreign policy of the United States of America. It has been standing away from the European political strategy. While this action where in process, the parts of the international connections have been transformed. The president Clintons advisor in the field of the national safety, Anthony Lake has made an announcement about the widening new strategy, which wholly should substitute bipolar and cold war epoch.
Modern states, in the field of the international relations, have been acting adequately to the ongoing processes. World orders tendentious are straightly linked to their national interests. That’s why it stays as the main actor and on it depends the great future of the human being.
