The future of industrial robots
It is accepted to divide industrial robots into three generations depending on the function and complexity of the service (just like a computer). The first generation of industrial robots, which is now widely used, has an electromechanical system, software and memory, and does not have the ability to provide feedback. Coordinate determination is performed using mechanical devices and high-precision potentiometers. First-generation robots are capable of pushing loads weighing from a few grams to several tons, and the program on the memory device can run up to 1,024 movements.

Most robots in this generation have three levels of sliding and a handlebar device. The rigid grip device of the first-generation industrial robots in operation has five levels of propulsion: rotation in the horizontal plane, linear displacement in the vertical plane and along the axis, rotation around its own axis, and bending in the vertical plane. In second-generation industrial robots, the sequence of operations and memory of coordinates is carried out using electronic circuits, the size of the memory allows you to record the coordinates in the form of numbers. This, in turn, allows you to create a complex program of operations. These robots are more agile than first-generation industrial robots and have the ability to store complex programs on a memory device. Some of these industrial robots have photoelectric and sensing devices that can gradually adopt the shape and condition of a detail. Second-generation robots can operate at very high levels of accuracy under the same conditions as basic equipment. The high level of reliability of digital software-controlled systems ensures that they work without interruption for a long time.
