3.6. Practice teaching in class 
The class which I taught on the subject 
“Integrated skills”, 
the topic of which 
was 
“Leisure and sports”,
 
was designed for the 1
st
year students of Foreign 
Philology groups. The goals and objectives of lesson focused on raising students’ 
knowledge on the topic leisure and sport activities and improving students’ language 
skills through pre-, while, post activities. Taking into account, these goals and 
objectives I organized a learner-centered, task-based class, where 4 language skills 
are integrated and different modes of interaction are implemented. Students are 
involved not only reading and listening tasks, but also video discussions and 
communicative, task-based activities. According to teaching principles – the 
following principles were taken into consideration: 
meaningful learning, 
automaticity and strategic investment principles
while doing pre-, while, post 
activities students not only understood the meaning of the texts and video, but also 
could analyze them, while participating in group work activities, as well as 
communicative competence 
principle was also noticed, as students participated in
different communicative activities, such as “Information gap” activities, “Video 
discussions”, and so on. 
In 
Conclusion I
want to state that lesson included all features of CLT and not 
only teaching linguistic competence, but also socio-linguistic and pragmatic 
competences were taken into account with the help of designing different pre-
while, post activities.
