1.Introduction (10 minutes)

Revision. Greeting with Ss. T writes a tongue twister on the blackboard. Then Ss tell it.

Ss explain orally to the teacher not written form.

2.Main part
(65 minutes)



Activity Listen to the tape and write whether the statements are true or false. (10 min)
T gives handouts to students, they listen to the tape and decide if the statements are true or false.
Activity 2: Make up your own sentences using the following modal verbs and word combinations. (10 min)
T divides Ss into 3 groups and gives handouts. The task is to make these sentences.
Activity 3 Choose the best answer to complete the sentences (10 min)
T gives the handouts and explains the task.Ss answer the questions.
Activity 4. Read the text about Rustam Kasimjanov and give a title for it(10min)
After doing activity 3 T and Ss read the text and give the title for it.
Activity 5 Find the best suitable title (1-5) for each paragraph (a-e)(10 min)
Activity 6. (15min) Now read the text again and choose the best summary for each paragraph. T gives them handouts.

Ss write whether the statements are true or false.

Ss work in groups; they will make their own sentences
Students practice their reading skills.

Jobs for teenagers
About half of 16 and 17-year-olds in the UK have got jobs, and three quarters of this age group also go to school. They do part-timejobs before or after school and at weekends. The most common jobs are babysitting (very popular with girls) and paper rounds(popular with boys). Cleaning and working in a shop are also popular jobs.
In the UK, school students are not allowedto work more than two hours on a school day, or more than twelve hours in total during a school week. They are not allowed to work before 7 a.m. or after 7 p.m. (but babysitters can work later. They must have at least two weeks’ holiday from school each year when they don’t work at all.
Teenagers do part-time jobs because they want to earnsome money. However, they don’t usually earn very much. In the UK, there is a minimum wagefor adults: £5.52 an hour. For 16 and 17-year-olds, it is £ 3.40 an hour. For children under 16, there is no minimum wage, so many teenagers work for £2 or £3 an
