Think about how the passage presents various kinds of information on donating blood.
Donating Blood
The world’s medical system could not operate without donated blood. Blood and blood products are 
given to people with serious injuries and illnesses and during and after surgery. Giving blood is a valuable 
service for the community. Skilled technicians make the process easy and comfortable.
What to expect during donation
1. You will fill out a health screening questionnaire.
2. Your blood pressure and iron level will be checked.
3. You will be seated in a comfortable chair.
4. The technician may offer to numb your arm.
5. The technician will insert a new, sterile needle into your arm.
6. You will sit quietly for about 10 minutes as the bag is filled.
7. The needle will be removed and a bandage applied.
8. You will rest for 15 minutes and have a snack.
