KORKUT-ATA AS THE LEGENDARY BASHKIR
NARRATOR-SESEN
Summary
The oldest narrator of the Bashkirs was Trawl-sesen. Accor­ding to M. A. Burangulova, he alleged, was one of the characters Chubarov epic "Ural-Batyr", "Akbuzat". However, in all versions of the first, extant, his image is missing, and in the second, preserved only in a single record, is some old Trawl. Although here he is represented as the shepherd, but the stories told by Choubane, the main character of the epic "Akbuzat", allow us to perceive it as sasana-narrator, who looks like a sage grandfather-of Korkyt, one of the heroes of the eponymous Oghuz epos. At the same time, Trawl differs from the latter in that it is not limited to this wise advice, but he becomes the initiator and partner of the events described in the epic "Akbuzat". In intellectual terms, the image of Korkyt is more comparable to the images of Baik-Cesena, Hebrew-sasana of Bashkir epic monuments. As these Sasani, Korkut – survivor, appears at the right moment at the right place and gives wise advice not only to the hero of the epic, but people, even rulers. In addition, according to Bashkir legends Korkut appears as the seeker of the fountain of eternal life, so that his image resonates with the image of the epic hero Ural-Batyr. The Bashkirs believe the grandfather-of Korkyt and his on his ethnicity. So in shezhere he presented the founder of the Bashkir childbirth Kyrgyz and Tabyn and in the tradition of “Where you came from the Bashkirs?” – all of the Bashkirs, allegedly, he leads from the Altai. Korkut mentioned in the conspiracies of the Bashkirs as one of their saints. Unlike the Oghuz version of the Dastan about Korkut-ATA, in the Bashkir, he is an active character.
