Учебные цели

  • The subject of the work is cognitive aspect of translation theory.
  • The object of the work is cognitive problems of Uzbek-English translation
  • The aim of the work is to study the concept of the cognitive basis of translation, to determine its role in the process of translation and to show the importance of it in the end.
  • This aim determines the following tasks:
  • to understand what the cognition is;
  • to define the term «cognitive linguistics», its types, the role of the cognitive linguistics,
  • to get acquaintance with the types of the cognitive translation;
  • to understand the importance of the cognition in the process of translation.
  • To discuss main cognitive problems of Uzbek-English translation and find possible techniques to achieve adequacy.
  • The methods of investigation are comparative analysis, descriptive analysis method, translation method and analyses of studying linguistic and methodological literature.
  • The novelty of the work is that,
  • There given to the term “cognitive aspect of translation”;
  • in the given work we have analyzed the concept of cognitive translation, microcognitive and macrocognitive approaches in translation;
  • in the result of the work we found similarities and differences of translation concept in non-related English and Uzbek languages;
  • way of rendering cognitive problems in Uzbek-English trasnlation are investigated.
  • The theoretical and practical significance of the work: The theoretical significance is in determining the theoretical statements of defining the linguistic difficulties of literary translation on the basis of native and foreign scientist’s works such as Komissarov V.N., Garbovski N.K., Breus E.V., etc. It contributes the theories of translatology and literary translation.

  • The practical significance is in the fact that the materials of course work can be widely used in teaching process of disciplines as “Theory and practice of translation”, “Translation problems”, “The basis of Translation”.
  • The materials under analysis are works of native and foreign scholars in this field, books on the theory and practice of literary translation and supplements for the teachers and students of foreign languages institutes and departments.

  • The structure of the work: The given dissertation work contains Introduction, there main chapters, conclusion, bibliography and Appendix.
  • In introduction was considered the aim, tasks, subject, object, methods of investigation, theoretical, practical significances and materials under analysis of the course work.
  • In conclusion, it is given a summary of the dissertation work.
  • The bibliography contains about 100 works of native and foreign scientists that were analyzed during the investigation.
  • In appendix it is offered a list of words that have difficulties in literary and adequate translation.
