Annotation  :  In  this  article  several  activities  are  created  to  reinforce  vocabulary  or  give 
students practice in listening , thinking , speaking and writing ,but underlying goal of all activities 
is  to  produce  a  smile  and  an  awareness  that  communicating  in  English  has  a  lighter  side  and 
potential for fun .
Key words: word games, ,idioms,limericks,puzzle stories
The activities are short and self contained, and they may be good for starting off or ending 
a class hour. Because humour is something to be shared , the activities should be done in pairs 
or small groups  and then discussed with the class as  a whole . This article is a handbook for 
teachers. The  activities  in  this  article  are  chosen  to  reproduce  individual  pages  for  occasional 
use  in  classes  or  as  group  homework  assignments  .Now  we  focus  on  word  games.Vocabulary 
can be reinforced by using a variety of game formats . Focus may be placed upon word building 
,spelling ,meaning, sound/symbol correspondences, and words inferred from sentence context.
