practice. Despite that fact living in 21 century we are lacking of the modern 
technologies, when the ability of creating modern technologies to innovate a 
competitive edge. Further 
priority action to expand the social incentives and 
recognition of teachers work. To produce feature films and documentaries which 
heighten the recognition of teachers’ professional activities and their contribution. The 
another action is to establish a system for sharing the best practice at all level of 
education sector and widely promote the best experience. To achieve regional teaching 
system should involved volunteers and overseen by the local universities to effectively 
share best practice related to the subjects are taught at schools and secondary 
educational system, by developing training programs for the Bright Future.

COMPARISON OF TRADITIONAL AND COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGE
TEACHING APPROACHES

A nnotation: This article discusses the vital role of communicative language 
teaching (CLT) in EFL classes, comparing to the role of traditional method and the 
differences between them. A successful human communication is not limited to know 
grammar rules, translation or other lexical items which is taught in Grammar 
translation method (GTM), other factors such as social context, various life situations 
play an important role in communicating successfully.

method (GTM), language teaching, language learning, students.
In recent years some huge and significant works has been carried out in 
teaching English language in Uzbekistan. The Common European Framework of 
Reference (CEFR) was implemented in Uzbekistan in 2012 as a framework for 
teaching, learning and assessing languages. CLT is employed within CEFR (Beresova 
2017) and the approach is much different than the rule based/grammar translation 
method(GTM) to language teaching that language teachers are accustomed to in 
Uzbekistan.
According to the analysis conducted by the group of experts shows that the 
large number of students who were taught English through GTM are more likely have 
low fluency. The essence of this approach is that the grammar of the language is 
presented by rules, with example sentences in the target language. The student usually 
learns the rules from textbooks or from the language teacher, complete the exercises 
according to the rules, translates the texts and sentences from his language into the 
target language or vice versa.
Students who have learned English well via GTM approach typically have an 
excellent grammar of English. As a matter of fact, they generally know much more 
English grammar than native speakers do. They can read English quite well and in 
many cases can write it well. Such students are often weak, however, in the oral aspects
