The next preventive measure is public oral health education. The main 
components of a prevention program should be preceded and accompanied by training 
in oral hygiene. Oral and dental education is the provision of the population with any 
cognitive opportunities for self-esteem and the development of behavior and habits that 
maximally exclude risk factors for diseases and maintain an acceptable level of dental 
health. The personal responsibility of the patient plays an important role in maintaining 
dental health, as his own efforts can be very effectively implemented to keep the oral 
cavity healthy and prevent the disease.
All methods used to educate the population can be divided into the following:
- Active methods, involving interested participation of the population, for 
example, lectures, informational and educational presentations, collective and 
individual conversations, consultations, health lessons, games, quizzes, etc.
- Passive methods, not requiring active participation of the population, e.g. 
non-fiction literature, brochures, posters and commercials.
Depending on the age characteristics of the population, the need for the use of 
various methods of education is changing, however, the use of passive ones reinforces 
and enhances the effect of active forms and vice versa.
Oral education, depending on the number of people involved in educational 
work, is divided into three organizational forms: mass, group, individual. Taking into 
account high incidence of major dental diseases among Uzbekistan population, 
additionally to dentists, hygienists, teachers and parents should participate in the public 
health education.
Conclusion.Thereby, world and Uzbekistan experience shows the entire 
system for prevention of oral diseases should be based on unified appropriate national 
and regional programs.
