CONCLUDING COMMENTS
This account does not cover the training and
experience necessary for the clinical psychologi-
cal assessment of children and young people, nor
the prioritization of objectives and other aspects
of the assessment process, including linking it to
intervention. Nor does it address applications in
stepped and managed care or in other services
responsive to the economic and other constraints of
health-care delivery. However, the model outlined
here provides an adaptable and appropriate frame-
work for thinking about the often complex psycho-
logical problems, circumstances and resources of
children and young people, and for the clinical
assessment and management of such problems.
