Productive skills
Conforming to the research of many teachers, most foreign language learners have difficulty 
learning exactly the productive skills. They found that the teacher that only speaks and students 
hardly get opportunities to speak in front of class. Most of time students copy what the teacher says 
or reads the text as it is. In that time teachers should correct students’ mistakes during speaking activ-
ities, either during pronunciation exercises.
J. Harmer claims that” When students are repeating sentence trying to get their pronunciation 
exactly right, then the teacher will often correct appropriately every time the there is a problem”.
English lessons students should be given opportunity to speak, it helps to expand their speaking 
skills and also use synonyms to make their speech gorgeous instead of to utilize old words they know. 
This is exactly why, teacher should give chances to communicate only in English, not in the mother 
tongue.
Another problem is that students learn language only for the purpose of inter the university or 
getting a job. In fact, student should pick language up for to not encounter with a few challenges 
communicating with native speakers. It is necessary to feel their emotion when talking with native 
speaker instead of with the help of any translator. The demands of improving speech ability increase 
the aspiration for knowledge and self-confidence.
The ability to writing skills have its advantages. For the reason that this type communication is 
one of the basic life skills. One more essential reason which is writing skill reinforcement for stu-

dents. The reinforcing what has been learned or read before will help learner to take what he or she 
is learning to a higher level, especially when learning a new or unfamiliar language. Students should 
do variety of writing exercises which are help them work on themselves and memorize new words.
